Martial arts can also assist you in your journey toward living a healthy and harmonious life. Our Tang Soo Do curriculum is for everyone aged 3 – 93. For those interested in Karate or Japanese Ju-Jutsu, our program is a top of the line approach to competitive techniques and conditioning.

Tang Soo Do Classes

This is a Korean Karate. Tang Soo Do 60% feet, 40% hand techniques. Great Self Defense (Art) Jump kicks, spinning kicks, good self defense counter and controls. Kinder Karate class for 3 yr to 6 yr olds. While you are learning our techniques for self-defense, you will also be increasing flexibility, strength, memory, and coordination. Our system includes cardiovascular aerobic exercise for the heart and lungs which help you lose weight. Don’t worry about your age, or present physical condition. We all start with what we can do. Our program improves patience, respect, mental clarity, concentration, self-discipline, control, and confidence, and gives everyone a strong healthy body with good coordination.

Koho Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a Japanese style of massage therapy that shares similarities with acupressure which is not surprising as the translation of shiatsu is ‘finger pressure’. Shiatsu practitioners have their own unique style of massage to break down energy blockages in the body and bring energy to areas where energy is deficient. Incorporating a variety of stretches into their manipulations to promote proper health and well-being in clients, shiatsu is a full body experience.

Commonly used to endorse relaxation and diminish issues such as stress, muscle pain, nausea, anxiety, and depression, shiatsu is a holistic approach to wellness. The mind has a direct effect on the stresses and strains of the body; to neglect this understanding may lead to a superficial healing process.

Hakko-Ryu Japanese Ju-Jutsu

Not a sport. Joint locks: Throws, Police Lock’s and controls: Healing side Shiatsu acupressure therapy.  Hakkoryu is a modern form of Ju-Jutsu (gentle art) from Japan. Modern because the style is founded only in 1941. Hakkoryu is a pure martial art in which all aggressiveness is shunned and contains almost no attack techniques. Hakkoryu or school of the eighth light ” is little known in America as the style has no competition and is often taught from teacher to student. This ensures that there is no really big crowd at the dojo (classroom) where these classes happen.
